Welcome to AskFaith! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the AskFaith Bible Web App (the "App"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please immediately cease all use of the App.
By utilizing or interacting with AskFaith, you definitively acknowledge that you have read, understood, and unreservedly agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as any and all other policies or guidelines referenced herein. Your continued use of the App constitutes your ongoing acceptance of these Terms.
The AskFaith Bible Web App is specifically designed to provide users with access to biblical texts, offer interpretations, provide spiritual guidance, and answer questions exclusively related to the Bible and faith. The App is intended solely as a helpful resource for spiritual exploration and learning, and not as a substitute for established religious authority or professional counsel.
While we endeavor to provide information that is both accurate and reverent, you must be fully aware of and accept the following inherent limitations:
All interpretations and guidance provided by the App are generated based on available data and sophisticated AI models. They are strictly intended for informational, educational, and reflective purposes only. Such outputs are absolutely not to be considered definitive theological pronouncements, infallible truths, or direct substitutes for professional religious counsel, theological study, or the advice of qualified spiritual leaders.
Biblical texts inherently exist in various translations, versions, and scholarly editions. While the App strives to provide generally accepted versions, it cannot and does not guarantee to encompass all existing variations or to adhere to any specific denominational interpretation.
We explicitly do not guarantee the real-time accuracy, absolute completeness, currentness, or infallible reliability of any information provided by the App, particularly concerning complex theological questions, nuanced spiritual matters, or highly specific textual analyses.
Users are unequivocally encouraged and expected to exercise their own personal discernment, critical thinking, and to conduct independent research. It is strongly recommended that users consult established religious texts, trusted religious leaders, and engage in dedicated personal study for a comprehensive and deeper understanding of biblical texts and matters of faith. The App is a tool to aid, not replace, such personal effort.
You expressly agree to use the App responsibly, ethically, and in strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You shall not, under any circumstances:
Use the App for any unlawful, illegal, fraudulent, or malicious purpose, or in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the App's functionality or interfere with any other party's access to or use of the App.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App, other user accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to the App, whether through hacking, password mining, or any other illicit means.
Provide or input any information that is false, inaccurate, misleading, offensive, or that infringes upon the rights of others.
Engage in any form of harassment, hate speech, discriminatory behavior, or any other conduct that is abusive, threatening, or harmful, especially concerning religious beliefs, individuals, or groups.
Transmit or upload any viruses, worms, defects, Trojan horses, malware, or any other items of a destructive, disruptive, or technologically harmful nature.
Use the App for spamming, phishing, or any unsolicited commercial communications.
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App's software.
All content, information, features, design, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to biblical texts (where permissible by applicable copyright laws and obtained through legitimate licenses or being in the public domain), interpretations, spiritual guidance, graphics, logos, and the underlying software and source code, are the exclusive property of the AskFaith developer or its licensors. These assets are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only, strictly in accordance with these Terms. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on our App, except:
As explicitly permitted by applicable copyright law for personal study or non-commercial use of public domain biblical texts.
As is incidentally necessary for the normal operation of the App for your personal use.
Any unauthorized use constitutes a violation of these Terms and may infringe upon copyright, trademark, and other laws.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE ASKFAITH DEVELOPER, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH:
YOUR ACCESS TO, USE OF, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE APP;
ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE APP;
ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM THE APP, INCLUDING ANY ERRORS, OMISSIONS, OR INTERPRETATIONS;
ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT.
THIS LIMITATION OF LIABILITY APPLIES REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE ALLEGED LIABILITY IS BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF THE ASKFAITH DEVELOPER HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE, AND EVEN IF A REMEDY SET FORTH HEREIN IS FOUND TO HAVE FAILED OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
Your use of the App is explicitly subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. The Privacy Policy comprehensively describes how we collect, use, and disclose your information. Please ensure you review the separate Privacy Policy for complete details.
We expressly reserve the right, at our sole and absolute discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Should a revision be deemed material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least thirty (30) days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a 'material change' will be determined at our sole discretion. Your continued access to or use of our App subsequent to the effective date of any revised Terms signifies your complete and unconditional acceptance of such revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you are not authorized to use the App and must discontinue use immediately.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the App developer's jurisdiction, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the courts located in the App developer's jurisdiction.
